Great Single-Disc Steppenwolf Collection (2010-03-06) : 5/5
ALL-TIME GREATEST HITS is a great single-disc anthology of music by Steppenwolf. It's meant for those who found the old 16 GREATEST HITS to be lacking in sound quality, but feel that the double-disc GOLD set is a bit too much music and/or too expensive. If you can, get both this CD and GOLD, so that you can hear the different perspectives on the history of Steppenwolf.
Top Notch Mastering! (2010-02-26) : 5/5
WOW... I've been a Steppenwolf fan for many years, and let me tell you if you plan on just buying a greatest hits CDbr /of Steppenwolf.. then this is the one! Hands down this was remixed and mastering was state of the art!br /the mastering engineer really knew what he was doing thats an under statement! Perfect 10 greatest hits!
BORN TO WILD (2010-01-26) : 5/5
This compilation seemed to include most of the good stuff and a few other things . It works well, a good chunk of nostalgia. Born to be Wild,The Pusher Magic Carpet Ride have always been great tracks but the rest are solid rock performances with some great complimentary guitar work.
BORN TO BE GREAT (2009-12-16) : 4/5
Great cd, I'm, sure my friend will love this! thanks so much for the cd
Same ole', same ole' (2009-09-01) : 3/5
This set contains the expected "hits" but true connoisseurs will notice that it lacking several of the most interesting Steppenwolf songs. All Steppenwolf compilations, that I've seen, omit "28", "Faster Than The Speed Of Life", and "Tighten Up Your Wig", all of which are on Steppenwolf The Second. "Power Play" from Monster is a good song and would have been a nice addition too. Including those three songs and omitting the Monster/Suicide/America trilogy would have made this an almost perfect set. John Kay was never good at singing ballads as this compilation proves.br /
