Highly recommended! Was pleasantly surprised by a couple of songs that I had forgotten about...Gave it 4-stars because there were a couple of tracks that really weren't "hits" IMHO, but otherwise, it was great!

I recently purchased The Turtles Greatest Hits. These songs take me back to a time of enjoyment I seldom get with today's music. I love it!!

I was just a pre-adolescent kid during the mid 60's. But, I still remember most of the songs on this CD. Along with my Beatles albums, the Turtles Greatest Hits was one of the first albums I ever bought. I still have the vinyl. I bought this CD so that I could listen to these great songs while driving. "Can I Get to Know You Better", "She Rather Be With Me", "She's My Girl", "It Ain't Me Babe". Great stuff. One of my favorite songs is "You Baby". Yes, it borders on bubble-gum territory. But the song has that tight drum riff that grabs your attention from the very first beat. And Howard (Kaplan) Kaylan's screaming falsetto (just after the second bridge), is killer. br /These old songs from the 60's (as well as the 70's) put today's music to shame. Young people who only listen to the newer cr_p from the 90's and 00's are truly missing out on some fantastic music.
