good sound, high school lyrics (2010-03-15) : 3/5
As many have said, it is similar to the Postal Service. I enjoyed this album, but I am almost embarrassed to play it with anyone else around. The lyrics are extremely simple, and seem to hail from a Dashboard Confessional soul-sobbing era. Still, I like the album as a whole and some of the songs I really like. Just try not to get bogged down in the lyrics and the lack of depth. It is also a fair criticism that the songs are very similar sounding to a fault. br /br /My thoughts,br /Bubba
Great (2010-02-20) : 5/5
Shipping was quick and nice, and I loved this album. but it looks like this album doesn't have lyrics or photos, that was the only thing I didn't like =)
Owl Dreaming (2010-02-20) : 4/5
Purchased this CD for my daughter, 12, who absolutely loves it. I shouldn't tell her this, but I like it as well.
Light wonderful to listen to (2009-11-24) : 5/5
I like the way he does lyrics differently, and I like the electronic sounds. It has elements of Imogen Heap. If you've seen the video for Fireflies you'll have an idea what kind of music this is.
Amazing! (2009-10-27) : 5/5
This album is awesome. A little more juvenile and pure than Ocean Eyes, but some tracks like "Rainbow Veins," "Early Birdie," "Air Traffic," "Sky Diver" and "Dear Vienna" are as good as anything else Owl City has recorded. I love how happy and joyful his music is...something long lost in music these days. It seems like everyone is obsessed with being emotional, dark and depressing, but Owl City flips it on its head. Postal Service has got nothing on Adam Young.
